Monthly Freezer Cooking 7/19

I started my Monthly Freezer Cooking yesterday and I have to say I'm really excited about it.  No more wasted food that you had left in the refrigerator with good intentions on cooking it but ran out of time before it turned bad.

I planned out meals before I went grocery shopping and I stuck to the list!  I price-matched the best sales of the week to get the best deal on meat and produce.

I made most bags of food for multiple meals, since there are only 2 in my family.  We usually take leftovers from the night before for our lunch the next day.

$91.00 = 60 items bagged
=  48 meals for 2 people + 4 sides of carrots + 12 frozen rings of chicken broth + all the cut vegetables ready to add to other meals.

= less than $2.00 a meal of good, healthy, homemade food.

Walgreens shopping: First of all, I did not clear any shelves in the making of this photo.  (I actually went to 2 different stores mutiple times to get the suave and left plently at each store, each time.  Although I was a little embarrased to admit that I went to Walgreens 4 times in 1 day to get deals, the suave is for other family members and donating to local food pantry.)

Walmart shopping:  I had not been shopping most of the deals lately, as my stockpile has been a steady source of supplies.  But I had a few deals and items that I wanted/needed to get.  Some items made me money, some items are for other people who had asked for them, some are to restock my stockpile, and a few special FREE treats just for me (Jello Temptations)     :)
